Audio installation

An audio piece based around my one-year-old and four-year-old sons’ ‘improvisations’ on a MIDI keyboard. Having edited out some of their more violent poundings, the piece was played through a sampler of a grand piano and wound up resembling a Boulez or Stockhausen piano piece.

The work was presented as part of a group exhibition at an old ballroom in Brooklyn. The computer and keyboard were placed on the stage and the sound replayed through the space's antiquated in-built sound system.
