'Prototype II' was made by scanning an original photograph of night-time
traffic on the outskirts of a city and, in Photoshop, superimposing
the text 'Open 24 Hours'. This
design was then printed as a one-off large format poster which was
folded and 'distressed', before being re-photographed using an 8x10"
camera. The resulting print is 1:1 scale with the poster and includes
in great detail, its stains, discoloration, and grid of frayed lines
from where it was folded.
