Sam
Shouting in the Museum |
||||||
A series of recordings of my one-year-old son, Sam, shouting in the rooms of the Metropolitan Museum in New York. Sam's
response to large resonant spaces is to shout - to hear the sound of
his own voice reverberate. His actions propose an alternative way of
experiencing the space, a mini-revolt against the privilege afforded
the visual and the cerebral within the hierarchy of the museum. |
